Saturn Named As A Finalist In Global AV Awards
Manchester-based digital signage consultancy, Saturn Visual Solutions, has been shortlisted for the category of ‘Retail Project Of The Year’ by the AV Awards, which recognises the best AV and digital signage projects from around the world.
Saturn’s project with electrical retailer AO was picked out along with eight others including Krispy Kreme’s flagship store, and the world’s first Electric Forecourt.
Saturn CEO Chris Welsh commented: “We’re really thrilled that our project with AO is being recognised, not just as being one of the best projects in the UK following our AV News award win, but now on the global stage too.
“Our ethos of focussing on the client needs means that we always really explore their brief and fully consider how to deliver the results they’re looking for. In the case of AO, it meant that we needed to think outside the box and look at how existing technology could be adapted to create the innovative, interactive customer experience that AO was looking for. Although the event of a global pandemic meant that we had to adapt our original plan, we’re thrilled at how successful the end result has been for our client.”
Saturn created a solution that would turn a 21 screen TV display into a promotional video wall, and enable staff to activate different types of content and individual screens and sound bars so that customers could more easily compare and contrast them.
Saturn also used motion sensors to show customers different types of content depending on their proximity, and to create an interactive way of learning about different products.
The same project with AO was awarded the title of ‘Digital Signage Innovation Of The Year 2021’ by the AV News Awards.
