Saturn named as finalist at 2023 AV Awards for bus shelter screen enclosure

Saturn Visual Solutions has been shortlisted for another award. This time in the AV Awards, which recognises excellence from AV companies around the world.
We have been shortlisted for the category of ‘Support Technology of the Year’ for our anti-vandalism bus shelter screen enclosure.
Unattended digital signage is a common target for vandals, who enjoy breaking the protective glass and screens behind them, which is expensive and time consuming for the hardware owners to replace.
Working with Alight Media, Saturn Visual Solutions tackled the issue by working to improve the design of Alight’s (D6) single and double-sided bus shelter screen enclosures to improve their resilience and make maintenance easier, whilst keeping the same sleek, modern look/feel. These enclosures are used to protect 85” high bright, roadside advertising screens which are high-end and expensive to replace.
Our design team not only developed and produced a new design that works, they did it in half the time of a standard enclosure design project, and with a minimal carbon footprint.
The design isn’t just highly effective in preventing screen damage, with a 100% success rate to date, but has also improved safety for installers/engineers by making screens easier to access.
The new enclosure design has the potential to save out-of-home digital media owners and their insurance companies hundreds of thousands of pounds every year.
Saturn’s CEO Chris Welsh commented: “This new style of bus enclosure has massive potential for the DOOH (digital out of home) industry.
It really demonstrates how our custom screen enclosures service can design around problems for businesses. I’m thrilled that our team’s work is now being recognised around the world.”
